With SOLROOF, the customer receives a BIPV (building integrated photovoltaics) system PV with inactive part, dedicated flashing, guttering and roof accessories, all with installation. The SOLROOF roof presents a cohesive appearance and serves a 2-in-1 function - protecting the house and producing energy. One of the special features of the SOLROOF roof is the consistency of the surface, which was achieved by properly composing the integrated FIT VOLT photovoltaic panels with standard FIT roof panels. And through the use of special tempered glass, the active panels were given a uniform color to match the inactive panels - giving the roof slope a harmonious character.
The SOLROOF roof uses low-emission XCarb® steel from ArcelorMittal. XCarb® steel is produced from 75% recycled materials, using only renewable electricity. A SOLROOF roof of about 150 m2 generates 62% less CO2 than standard organic-coated roofs.
SOLROOF's manufacturers have turned to technological solutions from the acclaimed SolarEdge, a company that has earned its trust with high-quality products such as optimizers. These devices ensure maximum panel efficiency regardless of falling shadows or dirt, which in traditional photovoltaic panels reduce the production of the entire system.
When designing the system, attention was paid not only to its appearance and performance, but above all to safety. The Safe DC™ feature used in SOLROOF minimizes the risks caused by power surges. In the SOLROOF system, SolarEdge optimizers are located under the VOLT wind girders (routed along the side edges of the roof) and under the inactive - easily removable - steel FIT roof panels. This ensures safe and trouble-free replacement of the panels, minimizing the risk of damage to adjacent components and completely eliminating the need to dismantle the entire slope.
